Donaldson Timber Engineering appoints Oli James to role of group’s technical director

Donaldson Timber Engineering (DTE) has promoted Oli James to the role of the group’s technical director.

He will initially be overseeing Cambridge and Ilkeston Roofs, as well as supporting and advising on technical standards and issues with national housebuilders and their technical teams.

Oli joined DTE in 2011 as general manager for Ilkeston Roofs and has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry. Before joining DTE, he worked as a designer, then assistant manager and finally branch manager at Palgrave Brown, as well as field sales manager for SIG Roofing.

He said: “I’m really pleased to be taking on this new role and I am looking forward to new challenges ahead. I look forward to pushing DTE’s technical capabilities nationally and working alongside the rest of the team.”
