“This year has seen the largest number of products being submitted for the Elements of Innovation Awards and the calibre of entries has surpassed all expectations,” said Lisa Campagnola, Event Director. “The judges certainly have their work cut out as they look to recognise and reward the people and companies behind these unique concepts.”

The winners will be chosen by an independent judging panel, comprising five industry professionals and will be announced at the show on Monday 1st October at 3pm.

Helen Hewitt, acting CEO of the British Woodworking Federation and judge on the panel said: “We’re looking for products that break the mould and have the potential to change the way the industry works. The judges are looking to support innovation and recognise the skills needed and processes undergone to create the end result. This means it’s equally as important for us to empower originality and encourage talent in the industry.”

The awards presentation will take place at the show’s Hranipex Bar. Open to all visitors, it will offer the audience a unique opportunity to see the complete line-up for themselves and talk to the winners about their award-winning products.

Elements and the W Exhibition take place from 30 September – 3 October 2018 at the NEC, Birmingham.
