Callum Grant has been appointed as managing director of Norscot, the North of Scotland’s largest manufacturer of kit homes, windows and doors.
Grant, who was previously commercial director, joined Norscot in 1988 in a sales position, before being appointed to the board in 1992.
He has now taken on the dual role of managing and commercial director. Outgoing managing director and co-founder of the business, Peter Body, has taken up the role of chairman.
“Callum has always demonstrated a strong desire to see the business succeed and serve the community in which we work,” said Body. “He is well respected within the business, the industry and beyond. He is the right man to take Norscot forwards as we look to continue our growth.”
Norscot, which employs 60 people and generates around £4 million a year, aims to double sales over the next five years. It is a manufacturer of timber-framed kit homes, as well as t PVCu, timber and aluminium clad timber windows and doors.
“I’m extremely excited about Norscot’s future prospects,” says Grant, who took up his new role on 1 October. “I relish the opportunity to take a lead in the next phase of its development. It’s an exciting time for the business and I look forward to continuing Peter and the team’s great work, to help continue Norscot’s growth.”
There are four divisions Within the Norscot group – Norscot Windows & Doors, Norscot Kit Homes, Cottage Kit Homes and AluWood Windows.
