Scotframe has confirmed plans to close its Inverurie factory and adjust its product portfolio following a strategic review.
The timber frame manufacturer will relocate production from Inverurie to its Cumbernauld facility, a move it says will enhance customer support and secure continuity of supply.
As part of the changes, Scotframe will withdraw the Valutherm+ system—currently produced in Inverurie—from the market by the end of 2025.
Scotframe has also confirmed it will discontinue the supply of internal and external doors, site-fitted windows, and supplementary finishes including staircases, skirting, and architraves.
“These changes reflect our focus on the simplification of supply chain, the reduction of carbon emissions through delivery and transportation, and aligns with group-wide supply chain priorities,” it said in a statement.
The company added: “We will continue to offer alternative timber frame systems, including open and closed panel systems with mineral wool or PIR insulation.
“Our technical team is available to help you achieve your thermal performance goals using our alternative systems, including Thermistud and EnveoVent.
“These systems offer robust thermal performance and are fully compliant with current standards.”
