Demand for timber from family forestry in central Sweden remains strong. We are now raising the price of pine and spruce logs from 18 December.
“We continue to see a good market for sawn timber, both Setra and other sawmill companies in central Sweden have made investments to increase production and demand for timber is increasing. With the price increase, we continue to create value for our owners by strengthening the profitability of forest owners,” says Fredrik Munter, CEO of Mellanskog.
Increase of SEK 100/m³fub on pine and spruce logs
Mellanskog’s new price lists apply to felling contracts signed from 18 December 2024 and entail an increase in the price of pine and spruce logs by SEK 100/m³fub. In addition, there is a contracting premium of SEK 50/m³fub for timber from final felling that is possible to harvest and transport on bare ground. The premium is valid until further notice.
