The ACM SUMMA and SWING bandsaws are unique machines that answer many problems in timber construction. These machines have many uses, but structural insulated panels and insulation are examples where depth of cut required exceeds the capacity of circular saws. The SUMMA 940 has a maximum cutting height of 620mm and the smallest machine the 740 has a 500mm capacity. Several cutting strokes are available with the maximum 3700mm, although a conveyor system is available for material beyond this. Different facing material do not present a problem, a variable speed option is available as well as Motor Power options.
The SWING machine tilts to achieve a 45 deg cut and even at this has a cutting height of 300mm. large solid timber is easily processed on both machines, for very heavy cuts a SUMMA machine with a 3” blade and 15hp Motor is available. Both machines give a very quick accurate and clean cut as well as safety to the operator.
