MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME Durable MDF is a groundbreaking construction material.
The panel exhibits outstanding durability and dimensional stability which allow them to be used in applications once limited to products such as concrete, plastics or metals. With the added benefits of light weight, sustainable raw materials and a guarantee of up to 50 years above ground and 25 years in ground, these groundbreaking panels provide architects, specifiers and designers with an entirely new construction material, allowing great design flexibility and endless opportunities for creativity.
The combination of acetylated wood fibre with the manufacturing technology of MEDITE MDF means it may now be used in situations and applications where normal MDF panels cannot. However, MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME maintains all the design, fixing, machining flexibility of medium density fibreboards.
Using sustainably sourced FSC® timber, MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME is made using a high-performance resin which has zero added formaldehyde in its formulation, ensuring the product is suitable for environmentally sensitive areas.
Product Performance
Many of the benefits observed in solid acetylated wood, including enhanced dimensional stability and durability and fungal resistance hold true for MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME.
MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME is also made using a high-performance resin which is zero added formaldehyde, which makes the product not only exceed EU E1 but also CARB2 compliant.
BBA Assessment: As from June 2012 the British Board of Agrément has concluded that MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME is satisfactory for internal and external use as a non-structural general wood based product. It is considered that this could form the basis of an assessment leading to the award of an Agrément Certificate after full commercial production is established. BBA Assessment number M2/49109.

MEDITE FR CLEAR B is an MDF panel developed specifically for use in environmentally sensitive, fire rated interior applications where formaldehyde emissions need to be kept to a minimum but where a Euroclass B flame retardant board is also required under building regulations.

MEDITE FR CLEAR Euroclass B is a panel product suitable for use as wall linings, partitions, ceiling tiles, display panels and cases, furniture and fixings within an environmentally sensitive area such as museums, laboratories, hospitals and all public buildings. MEDITE FR CLEAR Euroclass B is not suitable for external or structural applications, or where exposure to water or high relative humidity may be encountered. MEDITE FR CLEAR Euroclass B is suitable for use in internal dry conditions as defined in EN 622 – 5. Boards of this type are suitable for use in Hazard Class 1 of EN 335-3.

MEDITE VENT is a high performance breathable sheathing panel suitable for use in all types of timber frame structures.
Combining high racking strength in excess of Category 1 requirements, with high vapour permeability and weather resistance, it is the perfect choice for the outer sheathing layer in ‘diffusion open’ breathable timber frame walls.

SMARTPLY ULTIMA is an extremely high-performance engineered wood panel (OSB4) suitable for the most demanding structural applications in offsite manufacturing and construction.

SMARTPLY ULTIMA is manufactured using state of the art ContiRoll® technology consisting of moisture resistant and formaldehyde-free bonding of wood strands, precision strand orientation and continuous pressing to produce large panels up to 2.8m wide by 7.5m long and to a maximum thickness of 40mm.

The board is primed and finished on one face with an acrylic water based paint, available upon request in a variety of RAL colours.

EN 300 classifies OSB panels by their properties which relate to their intended use. SMARTPLY STRONGDECK is classified as follows:
OSB/4 – Heavy-duty load-bearing panel for use in humid conditions.
Structures comprising SMARTPLY OSB/4 should be assigned to service class 1 or 2 as defined in EN 1995-1-1 (Eurocode 5). According to this standard, SMARTPLY OSB/4 is suitable for use in both of these service classes. Although OSB/4 is more resistant to moisture than OSB/3, this does not mean that the panel is waterproof. SMARTPLY accepts no liability for any damage or loss of strength caused by prolonged water exposure during the construction process, or during the service life of the product.

Airtightness is engineered into the OSB panel substrate, whilst SMARTPLY’s in-house speciality surfacing technology provides an integrated vapour barrier with consistently high vapour resistance over the entire surface.
SMARTPLY PROPASSIV meets all the requirements of EN 300 for the production of OSB3 panels and therefore can be installed as any other OSB3 panel.
Applications
SMARTPLY PROPASSIV is designed for use as internal structural sheathing on the warm side of the insulation in timber frame construction systems.
The integrated vapour control layer and air barrier properties eliminate the need for additional Air and Vapour Control Layout (AVCL) membranes. The coating also provides a smooth durable surface for superior bonding of airtight tape at panel joints. The product is suitable for both new build and renovation projects.
