Howdens has expanded its depot network with 16 new openings since December 2025, creating 85 new jobs and increasing local trade access across the UK and Ireland.
The latest openings span locations across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, including West Drayton, Wynyard, Esher, Cheetham Hill, Meir Park, Kirkham, Swindon East, Banchory, Bailliestonn, Boughton, Alcester, Brislington, Blackburn, Neath, Ballynahinch, Cinderford and West Maidstone.
The expansion takes Howdens’ network to more than 850 depots across the UK and Ireland, reinforcing its local depot model and widening access to stock for builders, joiners, installers and other trade customers.
Stock held locally
The newly opened depots carry stock in depot, including more than 100 kitchen and fitted bedroom collections, alongside joinery, doors, flooring and other product lines.
For the trade, the move adds further local availability across Howdens’ core categories, with the company emphasising the importance of having its full range available from stock.
