James Latham leads the way in sustainable timber solutions for innovative garden pods

Latham Timber Manufacturing (formerly Dresser Mouldings) has played a key role in cladding an innovative series of garden office pods with factory-finished Accoya – a timber known for being sustainable, durable, and visually striking.

A new partnership between Garden Office Pod 4U (GOP4U), a bespoke garden pod designer, and Latham Timber Manufacturing (LTM), James Latham’s specialist moulding and cladding division, has led to the development of an eco-friendly garden office, complete with a bespoke Chesapeake colourway.

The collaboration began when Peter Howson, a London-based product designer and long-standing James Latham customer, began searching for a timber that was not only functional and hardwearing but also aesthetically appealing for a new pod concept. As discussions unfolded, it became clear that Peter’s requirements extended beyond raw materials. What he truly needed was a standardised, plug-and-play system that offered ease of installation, minimal maintenance, and scalability to meet future demand.

James Latham quickly recognised this and went the extra mile, recommending a fully integrated system package—developed and delivered by its dedicated cladding arm, LTM—while ensuring a streamlined supply chain.

This collaboration not only demonstrates Accoya timber at its finest but also underlines the powerful outcomes that can be achieved when expertise is shared, and innovation is driven by partnership.
