Running from Monday, 5th to Sunday, 11th October, #GiBWeek26 builds on last year’s incredible success and will spotlight the Grown in Britain activities which help drive excellence across the UK forest supply chain.
Commerciality through Connectivity
This year, we’re taking inspiration from the theme ‘Commerciality through Connectivity’ – recognising the connections that run right through our sector, from woodlands and supply chains to businesses, products and the people making it all happen.
As well as the National Forestry Conference on the Wednesday (more details below), we’ll be sharing news, highlighting your stories and showing how Grown in Britain (GiB) is achieving commerciality through connectivity.
The themes are as follows:

We would love to hear from our GiB community about the issues close to your heart – why not use the week as an opportunity to share your news? Perhaps you have a special event planned, maybe you’re promoting a new GiB certified product, or you’re holding an open day for people to come and find out more about what you do. Whatever you’re working on, we’d love to hear about it and help share and promote it across the week.
With sustainability increasingly at the forefront of commercial decisions, this is the perfect week to learn how British timber leads in quality, innovation, and environmental responsibility, as well as wellbeing, biodiversity, employment and community. Our forests are amazing, and their future is in our hands!
The National Forestry Conference
The week also centres around the annual National Forestry Conference, which takes place on Wednesday 7th October. Jointly organised by Grown in Britain, the CLA, and the Forestry Commission, the event brings together foresters, farmers, landowners, land managers, policymakers and industry leaders from across the UK.
Now in its ninth year, the conference has become an important date in the forestry calendar – and a highlight of Grown in Britain Week. It’s a place to hear what’s changing, discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead and connect with the people shaping our future. If you joined us last year, you’ll know that some pretty significant news can emerge from the day too – as it was at the 2025 National Forestry Conference, when we heard of Grown in Britain’s TPP Category A Status!
