JELD-WEN UK Announces Operational Shift to New Sheffield Facility

JELD-WEN UK has announced plans to transition its Sheffield operations to a new, purpose-built facility at Bessemer Park, marking a significant step in the company’s operational development. The move follows the securing of the lease for the site and forms part of a carefully managed relocation strategy.

The change applies solely to the Sheffield site, while operations in Penrith will continue without interruption. The company emphasises that detailed planning is underway to maintain consistent service for customers and ensure stability for employees and suppliers throughout the transition process.

The relocation will be delivered in phases, with dedicated teams overseeing manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain activities to support continuity during the move. The new Bessemer Park facility has been designed to improve operational efficiency while providing capacity for long-term, sustainable growth.

Hamish White, Operations Director at JELD-WEN UK, said:

“Operational excellence is about getting the details right every day. Our focus is on planning thoroughly to maintain consistency and reliability in how we operate. The new facility provides an environment designed to support effective operations and long-term resilience.”

Dom Gaffey, Vice President and General Manager UK, France & Export at JELD-WEN UK, added that the move represents a broader strategic investment in the company’s future:

“This move is about more than a new facility, it’s about ensuring JELD-WEN UK is prepared for the future, with customers, employees, and partners at the heart of the process. Securing the site at Bessemer Park reflects our long-term commitment to the UK market and to operating responsibly.”

The Bessemer Park site is expected to play a key role in supporting JELD-WEN UK’s operation
