Through wall solutions supplier RCM has raised £2,500 for its chosen charity, the Douglas Macmillan Hospice, with a golf day and dinner.
Customers and suppliers sponsored holes on the prestigious Forest of Arden Golf Club and extra cash was raised during the evening by generous customers with further donations from RCM’s staff.
Alex Ward-Brassington, fundraising manager at Douglas Macmillan Hospice was presented with a cheque for £2,495.53 by Ian Quinton, MD of RCM, a major supplier of specialist building boards, façades, breather membranes and airtightness solutions.
“I am truly proud of our customers, suppliers and staff for being so very generous in supporting our chosen charity the Douglas Macmillan Hospice,” said Quinton.
“The Golf Day as a huge success with many teams competing for prizes which were awarded during the evening ceremony. Our chosen comedian Aaron James completed the success of the event by entertaining everyone thoroughly at the evening dinner. I would like to say a big thank you to all involved for their participation, loyalty and huge generosity. We look forward to organising further sponsorship events in the future”.
Ward-Brassington added: “The generous donation of £2,495.53 will make a difference to patients, and their families who are facing a life limiting illness. So, on behalf of the Douglas Macmillan Hospice we would like to say a massive thank you to all at RCM and their very generous customers and suppliers”.
