Oregon Timber Frame has donated £1,500 to local charity YouthBorders to support its work with young people in the local area.
Headquartered in Selkirk and operating as part of the UK’s leading housebuilder, Barratt Redrow, the timber frame manufacturer has supported the charity through its Community Fund initiative.
The Oregon Timber Frame Community Fund provides monthly donations to different local charities, with colleagues nominating charities they would like to support.
YouthBorders, the most southerly network of Youth Scotland, was selected by Oregon colleagues for its community-based youth work which aims to improve outcomes for young people.
The charity’s work includes training, funding and support to help children and young people grow in confidence, learn new skills, take part in local activities and connect with others.

This will specifically support the work of the LEAD team, a group of young people aged 11-18 to develop their leadership, teamwork and organisational skills as they continue to spearhead community-based research and champion youth voices across the Scottish Borders, ensuring that those form the most marginalised groups are represented, heard and celebrated.”
The funding for Oregon’s Community Fund is provided by the Barratt Redrow Foundation, the charitable arm of Barratt Redrow, whose vision is to help communities across the UK to thrive, with a particular focus on supporting children, young people and those facing disadvantage.
In 2025 alone, the timber manufacturer donated over £37,000 to local charities and community projects through its Community Fund and fundraising activities.
