Construction and manufacturing firm CCG (Scotland) Ltd has confirmed a pipeline of work due to start in 2026, representing more than £510 million of investment across Scotland and focused primarily on affordable and social housing.
The programme will see CCG begin 36 new projects, totalling 2,000 new homes, including approximately 1,650 for affordable rent. The new starts sit alongside more than 800 homes already under construction.
CCG said developments have been built up over several years and are now moving from early planning, design and pre-construction into site delivery, supported by long-standing partnerships with local authorities, housing associations and other public-sector clients, alongside a number of private developments. More than 75% of the work is secured through direct procurement.
Named projects include Western Villages, Granton – 444 net zero homes for City of Edinburgh Council (388) and CCG Homes (56); Water Row, Govan – a 92-home development for Govan Housing Association; Maltings Wynd, Dundashill – 78 homes for sale for igloo Regeneration; Brandon St, Motherwell – 48 homes, including 42 net zero, for North Lanarkshire Council; and Clydebank East – 88 net zero homes for West Dunbartonshire Council.
Offsite push – 1,800 homes set for factory-built wall zones
Projects are located across the Central Belt and beyond, including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Lanarkshire, Stirling, Fife, Dumfries & Galloway, East Lothian, West Dunbartonshire, and East Renfrewshire, spanning large regeneration schemes and smaller local developments.
Around 1,800 of the new homes will be delivered using CCG’s offsite manufacturing expertise – fabricating whole wall zones in a semi-automated factory before installation onsite – an approach CCG has pioneered in Scotland since 2010. The firm said its ‘iQ’Timber System sits within a wider in-house offering including windows, doors, M&E, utilities and plumbing.
