Enrol in the TTF Academy and brush up on timber skills at home

As the UK enters its fourth week of Covid-19 lockdown, you can make the most of this period for your business and employees by brushing up on training with TTF’s online courses. The TTF academy offers online courses ranging from accredited timber and product CPD modules, to videos and bite-sized modules in essential skills.

Through short courses you and your team can learn about all aspects of the timber trade. Modules include responsible sourcing, timber cladding, and fire safety, giving your team the knowledge to boost your sales. The vast majority of our courses are completely free to access and complete.

Furloughed employees can continue to engage in training and are actively being encouraged to by the Government. This will not cause any issues for you provided it does not generate revenue for your business. You and your employees can also work on your soft skills beyond the timber trade. Business-relevant topics include an introduction to GDPR, dealing with conflict, cyber security.

TTF Members can manage your learners through the system and track their progress. This will help you get your whole team qualified. Much of the content is offered free to learners, with a one-time discounted fee of £95 for TTF members to have your training verified with the Certificate.

All you need to do is complete the registration form on the TTF Academy online learning portal. The TTF Academy offers training specific for timber merchants, the Level 3 Award in Timber Merchanting. Backed by the timber industry and accredited by ProSkills/ Occupational Awards, this programme not only stands alone as an award but it can contribute up to 70% of knowledge marks towards the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Merchant Supplies.
