When budding interior designer, Charlotte Lynch, bought her first home with her fiancé two years ago, she wasn’t daunted by the renovation work required to transform their 1930’s house into a welcoming and stylish home.
“I have a passion for anything and everything home interior-related and love to turn my hand to a DIY project”, said the 25-year old part-time fragrance advisor.
When looking to put her stamp on the dining room, Charlotte took advice from tradespeople and researched the best material to create a “panelled” wall. As Charlotte explained “I am very thorough about everything when it comes to my home so I had to make sure it was going to be the perfect material before I committed”. Charlotte’s chosen material was Norbord’s CaberWood MDF.
Charlotte’s local timber merchant, Mersey MDF, Plas & Ply, supplied and cut the CaberWood MDF for the project.
In just under two days, Charlotte was able to create a stunning design feature in her dining room. “CaberWood MDF was so easy to use. It is light and flexible and the smooth finish saved me a lot of preparation time getting it ready to paint”.
Charlotte was so impressed with CaberWood MDF that she already has plans to use it again. “My next project is going to be a full length industrial mirror, followed by frame panelling in my bedroom. I can’t wait to get on with them and post the finished results on my Instagram page”.
