PEFC UK is launching a new research project to understand why some companies choose PEFC certification in construction, and why others do not.
We want a clear picture of how certification is viewed and what support the sector needs. This insight will help us improve the guidance and communication we offer.
We are inviting feedback from a wide range of people and organisations. For example, we would like to hear from specifiers, architects, engineers, local authorities, developers, contractors and housebuilders. We also welcome views from those working directly in the timber supply chain. Companies that already hold PEFC certification, as well as those that do not, are encouraged to take part.
First, we will run an online survey. After that, we will invite some participants to take part in short one-to-one interviews, so we can explore their views in more depth.
John Kirkby, Executive Director of PEFC UK, said:
“We want to offer the right level of support for the construction sector. By hearing directly from those who design, build and specify with timber, we can make sure PEFC certification continues to meet the needs of the industry and promotes responsible sourcing more effectively.”
If you work in, or alongside, the construction sector, we would value your insight. You can take part in the research here and also enter a prize draw to win a £200 Amazon voucher: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/P3YLYD5
