Vicaima managing director Barry Waddell is taking early retirement from the company, which supplies interior door, doorset and associated joinery solutions to the British and Irish construction markets, after three years at the helm.
Waddell, who has been at Vicaima for five years, will be succeeded by Frederico Capela, who will take over the position of managing director on 1 December.
Capela has played an active role within the Vicaima Group for over 17 years, including two periods within the UK and four years as executive director of its operation in Brazil. He said: “I am really excited to take on this new challenge and I look forward to the continued growth of such a successful and well-respected manufacturer within the interior joinery market.
“Vicaima has everything it takes to reach even greater heights; committed employees, great products and a real passion for innovation”.
The position of commercial director, currently held by Capela, will pass to Paul King, currently head of UK marketing. He has been part of the senior management team since joining Vicaima and has played an active role in shaping the strategy.
Arlindo Leite, Vicaima Group CEO thanked Waddell for his tireless contribution to Vicaima and wished him every happiness for the future.
